The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) provides various programs to support individuals and families facing difficult times. These programs include, but are not limited to, Cash/Food Assistance, Child Care, Healthcare Coverage, and State Emergency Relief.

The Anishnaabek Community and Family Services (ACFS) deliver human and social services to the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Their three primary programs include the Advocacy Resource Center, Child Placement, and Direct Services.

The Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action Agency (CLMCAA) offers a range of services to individuals in need, including but not limited to Weatherization, Housing/Emergency Shelter, Senior and Childhood Services, In-Home Services, Meals on Wheels, Transportation and more.

Enjoy a nutritious lunch at the Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action dining site, where individuals can gather to share a meal and socialize in a group setting. If you are 60 years of age or older, or the spouse of someone 60 or older, you are eligible to attend.
Location: Calery Center - 524 Ashmun St.
Date/Time: Monday-Friday at noon.
The Home Delivered Meals Program aims to support home-bound seniors with their nutritional needs. The program delivers nutritionally balanced meals directly to eligible seniors who cannot attend congregate meal sites. Meals are provided daily, seven days a week.
